Tussen 1956 en 1962 schreef Aaron Schroeder niet minder dan zeventien nummers voor Elvis... en vijf ervan kwamen op nummer 1! Dit oeuvre werd soms mede ondertekend door Schroeder met ongeveer vijftien anderen, de meesten van hen zelf zeer productieve songwriters. Dit album bevat voornamelijk alternatieve opnames van nummers die in de bovengenoemde periode zijn opgenomen, en ze zijn afkomstig uit sessies voor studio-opnames of voor films.
